Does the Village pick up leaves that I put into the gutter?

The Village does not go around picking up leaves that are put into the gutter. It is your responsibility to either dispose of them at the brush pile or another site. Residents are allowed to burn leaves in the gutter. Please keep burning leaves on the concrete gutter area only. If allowed to extend onto the blacktop, damage to the street surface may occur. Those burning leaves in the gutter are reminded that the burning pile must be attended to at all times. Ashes must be removed from the gutter within 48 hours of burning the leaves. Please check the wind direction and use consideration for your neighbors before lighting leaves.

When do the winter parking rules go into effect?

Winter parking rules go into effect with the first measurable snowfall. The first measurable snowfall is when the streets are plowed (not just salted). This means there is no parking allowed on Village streets between 2:45 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. until April 1st.
